Opening seminar about the reduction of carbon footprints

IFEST will open its doors with a seminar about ' the reduction of companies' carbon footprints'. The event will be organised by the Vlaamse Milieukoepel (VMC, Febem, OVB en VEB) and ARGUS.

IFEST, a sustainable event

As an event for energy and environment, IFEST wants to give the right example to its visitors and its exhibitors. That is why Artexis, the organisation behind this 'green' trade fair, participated in a corporate social responsibility scan. With IFEST as a case study, the company wants want to examine how it can turn all their fairs into more sustainable and environment-friendly events. Carbon emissions from lighting, heating and ventilation will be reduced to a minimum at IFEST. The aim is to make IFEST 100% carbon neutral.

 

Leading companies register

In recent weeks a whole succession of companies has registered. Both the environmental sector and the energy sector are once more showing a significantly increased interest in the IFEST trade fair. Since the start of this year, a number of interesting companies have signed up for IFEST.

Seminar programme given priority

In recent months a large number of stands have been coloured in on the trade fair plan (pdf, 1.47 MB). Thus things are beginning to shape up nicely for 2010’s IFEST trade fair. And so the organization feels that the time is ripe to make a start on developing the seminar programme.
